Exploring the ResourceSpace-RightMarket integration

At ResourceSpace we believe that Digital Asset Management is at the heart of your branding and content marketing efforts. It’s the repository for all the images, video and audio files that form the foundation of your brand—but we also know that it’s not the only system in your marketing tech stack.

This is why we put so much value on our integrations. One of those is RightMarket, a specialist brand management platform designed to ensure your organisation is always on brand. RightMarket boasts some awesome features that enable your sales and marketing teams to access the right brand visuals and use the correct tone of voice every time, delivering better customer experiences.

If ResourceSpace is the hub for all of your brand content, RightMarket facilitates it being used throughout the organisation.

How ResourceSpace and RightMarket work together

So how does the ResourceSpace-RightMarket integration make the job of creating on-brand marketing materials easier?

The challenge

The challenge of creating content away from your DAM platform is that, typically, team members would need to download assets first to then build them in a platform like RightMarket.

This takes time—and it can take a lot of time depending on the speed of that person’s internet connection—but it also results in your brand assets being saved across employees’ personal devices, in email threads and other locations the DAM manager simply doesn’t have control over.

There’s also an admin headache if your organisation is using two disconnected platforms, with Digital Asset Managers having to stay on top of the content within the DAM, as well as the applications you use for creating sales and marketing collateral.

Age UK uses third-parties to create visual content, and the charity needed a solution that would make it easier for their partners to provide those assets.

“We needed a solution that would provide our partners with as much flexibility as possible with marketing templates and creative assets,” explains Nancia Leggett, Brand Project Manager at Age UK.

“However, the organisation also wanted to be able to share assets where usage rights and consent are restricted.”

The solution

The ResourceSpace-RightMarket integration resolved this for Age UK by making their digital asset collections accessible directly in the RightMarket platform.

“The combination of RightMarket templates and assets on ResourceSpace has helped us to achieve this, and the integration of the two platforms is a key part of making this as simple as possible,” says Nancia.

“Using the two platforms together means our partners have a wide choice of imagery for their marketing templates, and importantly it's easy to access it all.”

With the ResourceSpace-RightMarket integration enabled, instead of having to download all of the assets you need first, all you have to do is navigate to the RightMarket brand template you want to use and select the assets stored in your ResourceSpace instance that you want to use.

“Our templates on RightMarket have the option of bringing through images from ResourceSpace so any of our images without rights restrictions can easily be used within them, or partners can upload their own images,” says Nancia.

You can even do basic image editing within RightMarket, without overwriting the original version of the asset saved in ResourceSpace.

“For partners with graphic design capabilities they can download images directly from ResourceSpace alongside any guidance documents we provide,” says Nancia.

This is great for marketing teams, but it’s also ideal when other departments want to create content they’d otherwise have to request from the marketing team. The combination of RightMarket’s easy-to-use brand templates and access to the latest digital assets from ResourceSpace means it’s simple for anyone to create branded leaflets, posters, graphics and more.

This integration not only saves time when creating content, but it also eliminates the need for administering two different systems. The DAM manager only needs to ensure the assets within ResourceSpace are correct, because that’s where RightMarket is pulling from.

For example, if you’ve got an image with usage permissions that are set to expire you’d have to ensure that image was removed from the DAM and the brand management platform. However, with the integration enabled as soon as it’s no longer accessible in ResourceSpace, it cannot be accessed in RightMarket.

Nancia explains how Age UK are using some of the permissions functionality between the two systems: “We can also include images within the RightMarket templates that can't be downloaded.”

“Also, for images with rights restrictions we have some of the text locked down to ensure that wherever the images are used they have the appropriate campaign copy and credits alongside them.”

For DAM and marketing managers concerned about creating content in RightMarket without oversight, it’s also possible to implement approval workflows within the brand management platform.

How easy is it to set up the integration?
