ResourceSpace 10.6 includes lots of new features that will improve your experience and productivity in the system. Read on for a video and summary to help you make the most of the latest developments.
Powered by OpenAI’s CLIP (Contrastive Language-Image Pretraining) model, ResourceSpace can now handle powerful visual similarity and natural language searches based on the content of your images or videos rather than metadata. Search using natural language phrases, search for visually similar images, and more: visit the full guide here.
The ability to detect, and recognise, faces in ResourceSpace has been hugely enhanced via a new integration with the high-performance open-source framework InsightFace. This new plugin supports advanced facial detection and recognition: read more here.
We’ve introduced a new ‘dark mode’ option to improve accessibility and reduce eye fatigue. Whether you prefer to set this manually or match the settings on your device, you can now switch to dark mode whenever you need to.
It’s now easier to customise your system settings per user group. On the management page for each group, you’ll now see an ‘Edit group configuration’ button. From here, you can customise various elements of the system for individual groups.
We’ve introduced a new method for sorting search results. Dot notation is a common format where you use the object name, a dot, and then the name of the attribute you want to search for - or sort by. Values with prepended letter characters will be ordered first, too. For more details, see the ‘Sort method’ section on this page.
We’ve also introduced the option to include alternative files as part of a bulk download. You’ll see the new option when you’re downloading resources as part of a collection.
This update brings powerful enhancements to optimise your work. From the convenience of AI-powered search, to including alternative files when bulk downloading, ResourceSpace 10.6 is all about improving your experience in the system. The AI models also run on the same server as ResourceSpace - so there are no privacy concerns.
You can find the full list of changes on the version history page.
